The Paella Costa Story

It started on August 25th, 1998.

Since 1998, the Costas have been making paella for friends and family, beginning on Ron Costa’s son’s first birthday. Carefully researching and prepping, Ron crafted his first paella over an open fire using almond wood from his family orchard. He continued to cook paella year after year for numerous birthdays, improving his original recipe and experimenting with new ingredients, spices, and traditional bomba rice.

The Next Generation: Jack Costa

Twenty-six years later, Jack has begun adding his own flair to the family recipe, improving upon it and making paella for his daughter on her first birthday, just as his father did for him. Combining their experience, Jack and Ron continue to share the family recipe with family and friends. However, starting in 2024, Jack decided that even strangers should have the chance to share the family tradition when he launched Paella Costa, a private chef and catering service allowing guests to taste and experience the Costa family paella.
