Ron Costa began making paella 26 years ago, starting on his son Jack’s first birthday.

Using wood from his family's almond orchard in Manteca, California, Ron cooked the paella over an open fire in the blazing August heat. Since then, paella has become a cherished Costa family tradition, becoming the centerpiece for many New Year’s and birthday celebrations.
